Tournament Format

All GreenHorn Bass Tour events are a two partner team based event. Each team will fish the tournament hours for the biggest 5 fish. A live release weigh-in is conducted at the end of the tournament where each team weighs their biggest 5 fish for the total bag weight. One of the five fish can also be weighed as part of the Big Bass competition for that event.

The total bag weight is taken less any penalties to determine first, second and third place for each event and payout checks are awarded. Each team is also awarded points based on their unique tournament finish and points are totaled throughout the year to determine TOC qualifying teams. The top 7 teams from each division are granted a spot in the Tournament of Champions for their Division at the end of the season.
